| FBC Industries is a pioneer in the research and manufacture of liquid food ingredients. Our staff includes experts in research and development, dedicated to assisting our customers with creative solutions, as well as the innovation of new products and concepts that benefit the food industry.
FBC Industries was incorporated in 1983. At that time, there was a limited market for liquid food additives and they were only offered by the major phosphate producers of the time. The producers were not committed to the liquid market and as a result of the lukewarm reception one of our customers received when they inquired about liquid phosphates, they asked if FBC could produce liquid dipotassium phosphate for them. We successfully provided that product and the rest is history. In the almost 20 years since our inception, the market for liquid food additives has grown to hundreds of millions of pounds annually and contains more than just DKP. There has been no new technology specifically requiring liquid products. There have been no new uses for our products over the years, either. Market demand for liquid products has come as the result of users changing their raw material requirement from solid to liquid. Our customers cite many reasons for the change over. Each customer has a different reason for making the switch and in each case FBC Industries has been able to supply the liquid product that specifically met the customer's need.
We are pioneers in this growing industry. Our volume has increased an average of 41% over the past three years. Literally every day our research people are finding ways to increase the performance gap between liquid and solid products. Our customers have done their homework, have analyzed energy and production costs, and have come to the conclusion that it is not inefficient to 搒hip water?when the alternative operating and capital costs of producing a solid many times far exceed minor additional freight costs. Using liquid products has saved them money.
Our tag line is "Creating solutions for the food processing industry". Supplying food quality products is our only business. For 19 years, we have been doing exactly that, providing solutions to the food industry. Recently we have even built a grassroots plant in Wisconsin to better serve our customers there. We are committed to our customers and their markets. Most of our products have been formulated for a specific customer use and we would be delighted to do that for you. MISSION STATEMENT
It is FBC Industries' mission to become the preferred supplier at all of our accounts. We will accomplish this by focusing our resources and capabilities toward supporting the effective development, production, promotion, sale, delivery, and servicing of the products manufactured by FBC. In addition to gaining higher market penetration in the geography and segments already served, FBC will seek new geographies and market segments where there is a need for our products. FBC will endeavor to provide a stable organization for its people and will provide both the training and opportunity necessary for personal achievement and advancement. We will be a good corporate citizen wherever we are located and will act in accordance with the guidelines of Responsible Care.
