Physical Properties:
The blue-green fluorescence can be issued under UV irradiation. It has vitreous luster. The moss hardness is 4. Specific gravity is 3.18. Basically originate in hydrothermal lode. The common colors are green, white, yellow, blue, purple, etc. Pure fluorite originates in geode of fluorite pulse and looks colorless and transparent.
Applications:
It is the main raw material for producing hydrofluoric acid. It is also used as a flux for enamel,glass and cement batching; a fluxing agent in metallurgical industries; and a catalyst for rocket fuels. The colourless, transparent ones is used as optical lens. It is used as a flux for smelting iron. The pure ones can be used as advanced optical lens.
