  Introduction: Dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (DMTD), trimercapto-triazine (TMT) sodium salts have thiadiazole in their molecular structure. Triazine heterocycles also have highly acidic thiol groups. Thiadiazole and sodium triazine salts form conjugation effects with thiadiazole heterocycles. Therefore, thiadiazole and sodium triazine salts have certain charge attraction to some copper-bearing gold ores and can be used as flotation reagents for copper ores. Azole and triazine salts have obvious activation effect on the flotation of copper oxide minerals. A new flotation reagent TMTN-2 was prepared by flotation of copper oxide ore with DMTD alkali metal salt as activator and xanthate as collector. On this basis, a lot of popularization and application work has been carried out, and the flotation agent TMTN-2 for copper oxide ore has been produced in batches for use in mines. DMTD salts and triazine salts have been successfully used in the flotation production of copper oxide ores, so that the concentrator can obtain better benefits.
