  D3 Tool Steel is an air hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that displays excellent abrasion and wear resistance and has good dimensional stability and high compression strength. D3 Tool Steel is heat treatable and offers hardness in the range of 58-64 HRC. Due to its abrasion resistance in the hardened condition, D3 tool steel machining should be limited to finished grinding.
  D3 Tool Steel is used for Blanking and forming dies, Forming rolls, Press tools, Punches, bits and Bushes.
