BASF Australia serves the Australian marketplace via its Head Office in Noble Park, Victoria, manufacturing site in Altona, and sales offices in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney.
BASF currently manufactures over 5000 p roducts in more than 40 countries and every year approximately 400 new ones are introduced. Hundreds of products are manufactured at BASF plants in Australia, and BASF is the only company in Australia to produce a full range of aqueous polymer dispersions.
BASF products are used by a wide variety of industries such as agriculture, transportation, building and construction, health and nutrition, consumer durables, and in clothing and fashion.
BASF currently employs over 100,000 peo ple worldwide. About 300 people are employed in Australia and New Zealand.
Research and development
BASFs research and development emphasis is on cost effective solutions to problems and high value added products that do not make the end product, they make it better.
BASF Australia has fully equipped laboratories devoted to applications development, material and product testing of dispersions, leather auxiliaries, colourants and engineering plastics.
